How to control the quality of edge banding？

        Second,  The quality of the edge banding tape affects the edge banding effect. The edge banding of products sealed with good quality edge banding tape is tight, and the edge banding of products sealed with poor quality edge banding tape has a large gap in the edge banding, and there is an obvious black line. When the machine is trimming, the backing is easy to scratch marks on the surface. From the cross-section of the thick edge banding tape, the middle part of the glued surface should be slightly concave than the two sides. The product sealed by this kind of edge banding tape has a tighter edge and good effect.

     Third,The moisture content of solid wood edge banding materials should not be too high, and should be stored in a cool and dry room. The base material must be dust-free, and the best moisture content should be 8-10%.

      Forth,Due to the fast edge banding speed, the adhesive must have good dispersibility and permeability to the substrate under low pressure, and good initial adhesion. It should be glued instantaneously under a short period of pressure, and the bond should be firm. When using, pay attention to ensure that the temperature of the hot melt adhesive is within the normal temperature range. A long time too high temperature will cause the glue to separate; the hot melt adhesive cannot achieve good fluidity at low temperatures, so you must master the supplier’s supply when using it.    Fifth,The amount of hot melt adhesive applied should be based on the slight extruding of the glue outside the glued part. If it is too large, there will be a black line at the edge of the seal, which will affect the appearance; if it is too small, the bonding strength will be insufficient. In order to check whether the adhesive film is continuous, you can use a transparent hard PVC tape to test; you can also use ordinary edge banding tape to seal the edge, and tear off the edge banding tape for inspection when the glue is not cooled.
